KFD Tattoo Series

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

Over the years I have worked really closely with the guys from KFD Skateboards and it has always been a really good time. Recently I was contacted by a designer from California named Quoc Lu as he was wanting to build up his portfolio to break into the action sports scene and he used 3 of my photographs to put together an ad campaign for his portfolio.

I almost forgot about it and then he sent me back these three images which I really like. He did some research on the product and used the Tattoo Series as his basis for the ads and I thought I would post them because I also really love these 3 photographs that I shot of the guys.

Mozi Rocks

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

I shot this photo at the end of last year on a Revolution road trip that we went on to Durban. We stayed at Jays house and he let us ride in his empty pool and Moses ripped it up as always. I forgot about this photo but really like it a lot.Moses Adams rock and rolling in the deep end of a swimming pool photographed by Marcus Maschwitz

Session Issue 25

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Ok, this is crazy that Moses gets 3 posts in a row but I thought I should post the interview that he had in Session Magazines Issue 25. I never wanted to post it before as I wanted to wait until the magazine comes off shelf so that everyone stays happy. 7 of these were used in the article and I forgot how good they were until I looked again now. It has to be said that this was all shot within 2 half days. Machine I tell you.

Moses Adams 2

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Ok, so while I was posting the last post, I realized I had shot more of moses during that time and they actually really cool. Moses is a really cool chilled guy and I think these show his personality quite well.

Moses Adams

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

I have been working on the new KFD website this week and then came across this photo of moses that I shot in Cape Town at the beginning of this year for his interview with Session magazine. I never thought of cutting it like this but it works well. Moses is the man.

Mozi went to Jozi

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

I am going to Cape Town this weekend to shoot an interview with Moses Adams for the next Session Magazine and I am super excited. I love that little guy and just enjoy watching him skate so much. I really feel privelleged that I am getting to shoot with him. Anyway, this is an old photograph I shot when Mozi was in Jozi a while back and I just like the way it looks. Will keep you up to speed as we progress on the shoot. Have a good one, Marcus

Mosi’s Ride

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

Dropped Moses at home from the airport and he was so excited to see the car that had been waiting for him. His dad was just as stoked and let him ride it around the parking lot where they live. Love this photo of Mosi with his new ride, his dog and the biggest smile ever. Goodtimes my boy.

Children of the Damned Portraits

Monday, November 13th, 2006

During December last year (2005), I joined the Revolution / KFD Team for a skateboard tour and I shot these portraits of the team in the Johannesburg warehouse at the start of it. I liked these photographs a lot and decided to post them because in a few weeks we will be touring again and this stuff gets me excited for it all.
