Over the years I have worked really closely with the guys from KFD Skateboards and it has always been a really good time. Recently I was contacted by a designer from California named Quoc Lu as he was wanting to build up his portfolio to break into the action sports scene and he used 3 of my photographs to put together an ad campaign for his portfolio.

I almost forgot about it and then he sent me back these three images which I really like. He did some research on the product and used the Tattoo Series as his basis for the ads and I thought I would post them because I also really love these 3 photographs that I shot of the guys.

Haha, I just stumbled on this photo that I shot last year at about 1am in the morning. We were all out that night trying to shoot some photos and film some skateboarding at the new double set of stairs at the mall near my house and it just wasn’t working out. I spent a bunch of time setting up all my lights and stuff and as soon as I took a test shot, we got kicked out. This is the only shot I could get of the evening. It’s kind of sad because I love skateboarding and I love shooting skateboarding but I hate getting kicked out and dealing with people who are out to fight. This photo makes me laugh though. For some weird reason, I have never shot photos with Clayton skating. I love the way he does so it really is quite dumb. We skated with the locals now on our trip and I shot some photos of him skating and it was really rad pushing ourselves and just chilling with the locals. We met a few and they were such cool guys. Again, there are a bunch of these but I just randomly selected these ones. I love the colours. Been trying some new stuff and am liking the results. Hoping to shoot more with him soon.

I have again shot way too many photos from the trip but really wanted to put some up so I have randomly selected a few and these are them. Mauritius is beautiful and our trip was amazing. I will try post more when I get a gap but I have a lot to catch up right now.

Recently got back from a tour to Durban with the boys from Revolution. Haven’t had net connection since then but thanks to my new iBurst package, I am back up and rocking. Thanks for nothing Telkom. Anyway, the trip was good and I really witnessed some amazing skating from the boys and also some really funny stuff from the ballies. Check this out.

During December last year (2005), I joined the Revolution / KFD Team for a skateboard tour and I shot these portraits of the team in the Johannesburg warehouse at the start of it. I liked these photographs a lot and decided to post them because in a few weeks we will be touring again and this stuff gets me excited for it all.
