As I’ve mentioned a few times before, lately I have been working really closely with the guys from What Now … especially since they started working on their most recent album (Move Like A Sinner) which is out now.
I love working with them and it’s great to collaborate with a bunch of guys who put as much effort into a vision as I am prepared to put in so that we can make things as good as possible with the budget and resources that we have at our disposal.
Together with my friend Brendan, who is my partner in Float Media, we have created the new music video for the latest What Now single which is “If Looks Could Kill”. This is their second single off the album and it’s a banger. We came up with some crazy ideas, shopped a LOT, prepped, smashed stuff, built the set for over 30 hours, filmed for 6 hours and then packed away for at least another 6 hours without stopping or any rest … then we’ve spent a bunch of time editing and grading this to make sure that it could be finished in time.
Definitely my favourite outcome so far!
This was shot completely on the Nikon D800 and Nikon D600 DSLR bodies and we used Nikon Prime lenses.
I’d love if you had a look and shared the video if you have the time as I am SUPER proud of this.
Would also love to hear your feedback if you have any.
I recently shot another music video for Jorja, with Float Media, which was a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun. The track is called “Fight Till I Die” and it comes out next month and I’m super happy with how it’s looking. Our buddy Ryan Prout joined us to shoot a Behind-The-Scenes as well as give a HUGE helping hand. Good times!
One of the images that I recently shot with Senser have been used on a poster for their upcoming tour. Really enjoyed working with them and their shows are always great so try get down to one if you can.
This week I worked with the guys from Attention Thieves which was great … we managed to dodge the terrible weather for long enough to get some great shots together. The deadline was tight but we managed and they have used one of the images for their new tour flyer.
The guys have a fresh (and huge) sound which you will definitely be hearing a lot of in future so make sure to get on it now.
Recently, Muse held a competition on genero.tv for people to create a music video for their next single “Animals” and the winner would have their video become the official video for the single.
My buddy Brendan and I had a day to spare so we got right on it, involving a few of our really good friends including Tyron from the band What Now.
The thought behind our entry was to show the great contrast between the upper and lower class of the world … showing that our perception is often incorrect and that the “rich” can be animals, often more than the “poor”.
We shot the entire video using a Nikon D800 and a Nikon D600 with Nikon Prime lenses.
I’ve been working really closely with the guys from What Now, over the past few months, and they have an album coming out soon that sounds HUGE. It’s always cool working with them and we have just released the music video we shot together for their newest single which is the first off their album.
This is for “Move Like A Sinner” that was shot completely on a Nikon D600 DSLR and features the models Jesse Burgess and Sarah Jackaman.
Make sure to look these guys up and share the video if you have the time.
I recently had a photo added to an exhibition put together by the guys at Portrait Salon … the images is one I shot of Mike Wright from Zebra & Giraffe a few months ago. It’s one of my favourites I’ve taken so far.
I photographed some new press images for the guys from What Now a few days ago around the city of London. It was a really chilly night in the city and we had a great time exploring locations near the river. I really enjoy working with these guys and we decided to shoot a “wrap” photo together at the end of the shoot … this is it.
I’ve been working with the guys from What Now quite a bit over the last few months on some really exciting stuff and it’s been terrible only because the roll-out is taking a while and I cannot wait to get this stuff out.
Anyway, they announced the release of their debut album (Move Like A Sinner) for March 2013 and this is the front cover which I shot. The album is amazing and the guys have really worked hard to make something special so I feel so proud to be a part of it.
MAKE SURE to look these guys up and get their album … I know it’s going to open a LOT of eyes.
