Greenstone Session

I shot this photo skating the new mall with Rudi. It’s not what I pictured it to be like so I never continued shooting. It came out quite cool though.

8994km away from Home

Friday, May 25th, 2007

Anja has been making a cool scrap book of our trip to London and I saw this photo yesterday that we shot together in Leicester Square aiming towards our home. It’s actually to Pretoria and we stay in Johannesburg but it is close enough when you think about the distance we are away. Good times.

Happy Happy

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

It was my buddy, Darryl’s birthday the other night so a few of us went round and had a dessert bash. I took this photo of him saying good bye just as we were leaving. He was beat up about 3 weeks ago by a robber who broke into their house and the guy smashed Darryl’s face a few times with a brick. I am so happy that it has healed well and that he is alright.

Then this photo, I shot on the way home from their house. Alan drove me there and on the way back the lights of the freeway were looking pretty crazy so I shot one freehand shot quick and then was over it. It came out pretty good though. That’s all for now.

I Win

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Wow, this never happens where two blogs in a row are of photographs of myself. Anyway, the reason for this one is because the sunsets in South Africa get amazing during this time of the year and I was racing home to get a shot tonight but I was unfortunately just that little bit too late. I thought that seeing as I was there, I had to shoot a shot while I just stood and enjoyed the last bit of daylight. I hate being the subject of photographs but this is alright cause I silhouetted myself so you cannot see my face. Going to bed now to try warm up. Is it cold-ish?

My new "selfy"

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Hahahahaha, this shot cracks me up. I was setting up the “studio” to do a shoot today for a client and it was sooooooo flippen cold so I ended up just pointing the light at myself and laying there for a bit to warm up. Anyway, I eventually grabbed the camera and shot a test shot of myself so I didn’t have to move and thought that it was quite a funny one. Man alive ….

Busting Macneil

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Again, this is one of those photo’s that just got forgotten about before I went away. Just saw it now and really like it a lot. It is of my friend Cheri, from Harris Tweed, playing their final song of their set at the last show I saw of them. I tried for long to get a shot framed this way with her in the right place and really think this one is right.

Why all the holes

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

This morning I was packing my stuff to go shoot for a client and Anja (my misses) was digging like she normally does and asked me why my press pass from saturday night is punched full of holes. I thought this looked rad so I shot a photo and just ignored her question until I was done.

Prime Circle

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

I shot the FHM 100 Sexiest Party last night at Rand Airport which was alright but Prime Circle played and I was pretty excited to see them. I love live music and really love shooting live music. Anyway, I think these guys are really good at what they do. Live, they sounds as good as their recorded stuff. I shot these for a client so cannot really post too many but these are the ones I really like.

Wet London

Friday, May 18th, 2007

Ok, so I tried something new the other day when we were on the bus through London. It was raining but really a good day so I had to make sure to get some stuff for our memory book. Black and white is amazing …..

My Chicken Sauce at FFC

Friday, May 18th, 2007

We went to visit my friend, Jude, at Fulham Football Club last week and it is right on the river Thames. Anyway, he took us on the raddest personal tour of the club and it was such a good day together. I don’t know much about soccer but they are my new favourite team. Haha. This is a photo of Anja walking along the river. I really think she looks so pretty in this.
