SA Fashion Week has just finished and I had quite a lot of fun shooting the event for my client. I have been to PLENTY fashion shows before but never actually shot photo’s at any of them so it was exciting doing this. The event showcased a lot of amazing stuff. Anyway, I haven’t sorted through all the pics as I am still busy dumping them onto the server but thought I would put these three up quick.

I shot this photo about 6 months ago the day that I sold my bakkie (Rachel) and kind of forgot about it but really like it for some reason. Now I have a new car and realize that I haven’t really shot a good photo of / in / with her so that is my new thing to do. Just need to think of some good idea but for now this will have to do.

I have been shooting some stuff for Soviet and it’s been a really interesting and exciting experience. All has been going well until they asked me to shoot their fragrances. I have never shot anything see-through before and had to do this about 200 times trying all different types for backing and lighting. I like this shot quite a lot.

Anyway, so I spent hours yesterday looking at another photographers portfolio and really liked his stuff a lot. He did the most amazing night photography I have seen in ages. I love the night stuff and for some reason haven’t tried it out much yet. My late new years resolution is to pull my finger and start shooting stuff like that. Not sure why I am writing all this. The reason for this blog is also because the guy has an amazing way of processing his photo’s and I wanted to give it a bash so thought I would work on and post one of my pictures from Green Island in Taiwan that I shot last year. The first image is totally untouched exactly as it would come off my camera and the second is a processed the way I think it should be. It’s crazy how much processing can do. That’s it, hope you having a good one.

This really isn’t an amazing / creative photo but I just find it to be one of the most shocking I have ever shot. This was a while back of a guy who snapped his ankle skateboarding. Makes me so glad I have never done that.

F…Etc is no longer a band but three of the members (greg, dave and marc) have stayed together and started something really awesome. They are still busy with recording but it is sounding super good. We shot some photographs last week for their new project. It is called REACH so look out for it soon.

I realize that I haven’t ever put photo’s of my little girl up yet so I had a look back through my thousands of happy snaps with her and found this one that I know we both really like. I shot it last year on the beach at Langebaan lagoon during sunset. Isn’t she the cutest…….
