Yesterday, myself and the crew from Revolution went and bought Christmas presents for the street children from the Twilight Childrens Home in Hillbrow and it made me realize again how lucky and fortunate I am. The home is really nice and the people there are really doing something amazing. Most of the children were not there as it is Christmas time but I did get to meet the ones that were still there. Below is a photo of Aaron and then two other pics during our tour of the home. Please look up the Twilight Childrens Home, they deserve the support.

I cannot believe it, we got Darryl (Boss) to smile while rocking out with his bass!!! Actually, I am just taking the piss and it was super funny having everyone tease him about his concentration on stage. That night, he let go and busted out better than anyone before. I like this shot of him doing sound check standing in front of the stage so that he can listen if the sound guy is actually getting it right or not. Funny trailer crasher.

Seeing as I shoot the Tweeds a lot and enjoy working and hanging with them, all the boys sat down and spoke about lighting for a bit. They let me set up the lights the way that I wanted for their show at Zula Bar in Long Street and I shot some photographs of Cheri (Harris Tweed) to show them what it would look like. Anyway, these two photographs were shot with the exact same lighting and camera settings within minutes of each other but just at a totally different angle. Isn’t it crazy how much lighting can effect the way we see things.

Cheri and Darryl played a chilled set inside the Mega Musica Store at the V & A waterfront and because they never needed to set up, we shot some mess around photographs just outside the store. Show was a rocker. Coffee, buddies, good music, Alan’s ass, ice tea, Police Academy DVD’s for R49.95, comfy tables and cool gear. Awesome…..

While I was in Cape Town I stayed with my friend Wayne and his wife Mandy. It was super cool and they let me have a whole room to myself. They have a cat and he really is the first cat I have ever actually liked. I fell asleep the first night working on my laptop and woke up super confused after the cat attacked my hand and started savaging me. I did crack up laughing a lot when I actually clicked what was going on. Shot these photos one mornind while trying to burn a disc for my Rental car.

Dropped Moses at home from the airport and he was so excited to see the car that had been waiting for him. His dad was just as stoked and let him ride it around the parking lot where they live. Love this photo of Mosi with his new ride, his dog and the biggest smile ever. Goodtimes my boy.

On my first day in Cape Town, the sunset was amazing. I really wanted to shoot some good shots but locked my tripods in my travel bag and couldn’t get them out so that idea was scrapped. Anyway, I made a plan and shot a few shots of the blue sky that I like quite a bit. These are two of them.

Recently got back from a tour to Durban with the boys from Revolution. Haven’t had net connection since then but thanks to my new iBurst package, I am back up and rocking. Thanks for nothing Telkom. Anyway, the trip was good and I really witnessed some amazing skating from the boys and also some really funny stuff from the ballies. Check this out.

We did a shoot the other night in town as part of our tour and it was really cool going to spots in pitch darkness and then cranking the generator and lighting stuff up the way I wanted. Anyway, this was while I was still setting up and testing stuff. Braxton fell and thought this shot was just framed so good with him laying on the floor wandering if anyone had seen what he had just done. I did. Awesome.
